So good! Great spot for a tasty, unique, reasonably priced meal. We had a spinach salad, lamb curry soup, tomato soup, and crab and corn chowder at our table and all were excellent. Bonus: soups come with corn muffins, yum!

Unique soups and sandwiches! It was hard to decide bc everything on the menu looked amazing! I love they allow you to sample a soup upon request. After sampling 4 soups (all of which were AMAZING) I chose a small Potatoe Rosemary which was incredible! Also ordered the NAK burger which ranks up there with one of the best burgers I've ever had. My group got some sandwiches which they also loved (club and turkey apple). The corn muffins that come with the soup was also very good. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Charlottesville.

Wanted to try something local. Glad we did. The steak and cheese was the best sandwich out of the three. The potato rosemary was smooth and flavorful. The other soups were good. The BLT is an easy classic. The only drawback was the Adam was turned into a wrapped and sadly was very dry.

Wow! If you love soup even a fraction of how much I love soup, you will LOVE this local soup joint! Their menu changes everyday and they make all of their delicious and unique soups from scratch! They have a little something to offer anyone from the beefy, chili-type, meat lover, to a light, vegan, veggie-lover! I already knew I wanted to try something I never had before but if you happen to be into more "traditional" flavor soups and styles they have you covered as well! Upon entering the tall, shabby-chic, storefront door, we walked down into a set of small steps which brought us down to the restaurants and eating areas! The walls were decorated with lost of nostalgic records, posters, art, as well as other interesting pieces of furniture. Just my style! I love all the downtown historic buildings and treat most of them as a little museum during my short time there! I proceeded to the ordering counter where I decided to order a choose two with the 90's Club and a side of the Creamy Edamame soup! My friend chose to also order the choose two but he opted for the Mozzarella and Pesto wrap with the Corn Chowder. The drinks are offered at the front by either choosing from the bottled drink section near the counter or the fountain beverages. I opted for just a coup for water this day as well as my husband. After ordering our food, we were given a number to wait and we found seating. The food was prepared quite quickly, maybe 4-5 minutes and came out hot and delicious! My creamy edamame soup had a very rich edamame, spinach flavor which I personally loved but I could see some thinking it may be salty. My 90's Club (pictured) was the highlight of my whole day! It was huge, the chicken was tender, avocado was fresh, the sauces were perfect (enough to barely make it a little soggy... MY FAVORITE), and just all together felt deliciously guilty to eat! My sandwich was bigger than my friend's ! As for his meal he really enjoyed it and anytime corn chowder is offered he get extremely excited! It had a really nice flavor and texture in my opinion. His mozzarella and pesto wrap was what seemed like the perfect light lunch snack to me. Wrapped nicely, fresh ingredients, vegetarian. I could. Probably eat at-least two of those! Overall I plan on going for the rest of my stay in Virginia and I'm excited to try more of the soup flavors and sandwich options! They even have bone broths, cheese steaks, salads, burgers, grain bowls, and quesadillas! Can't wait to go back! Give them a try!

I've gone three times in the past month and I love that there are new specials popping up. The first soup I had was an alligator bisque for mardi gras. I wasn't crazy about the texture of the gator, but the soup was really flavorful. The white soup is the loaded potato which is always the bombdiggity comfort soup. And the last soup is their Hungarian mushroom which is so yummy and flavorful. I'll probably get it this weekend too. They also have sandwiches, wraps, salads, quesadillas there too.

A group of 6 friends went to grab a quick bite to eat last night and got there about 7:25pm. We were quickly told that they close at 8 so if we were dining in, we needed to hurry up and eat. So we ordered the food (all of us got half a wrap and a cup of soup) and sat down. There were several people who were turned away before 8 because the people working said the kitchen was backed up and made sure to let them know they closed at 8. As we were waiting the person who I assume was the manager, told the other lady working to go start stacking chairs and make sure to bang them loudly. So as we all sat there waiting, the one worker slammed chairs together as she stacked them, apparently to encourage us to never come back again, because that’s what we are going to do. I also have issues with loud sounds and it was giving me so much anxiety that by the time the food came, it was hard to enjoy it. We finally got our food with about 8 minutes to spare so we all inhaled everything and left. I think we were out of the door at 8:03pm. They were so rude and it was the WORST service any of us have ever received. It’s unfortunate because the food was delicious and my family has enjoyed getting take out from there on many occasions. I’ve never felt more disrespected as a paying customer in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked in a restaurant before and I’m sure there were times I wanted to go home at the end of the day but we weren’t being rude or trying to take forever to eat, and I NEVER would’ve treated a customer the way they did.

We ate here for the first time tonight. Both of our soups were perfect and we will definitely go back. Caesar salad was nice and fresh but a little boring and could have used more dressing. They have a lot to vegetarian options and service is fast and friendly. There are a lot of stairs to get inside so it’s not accessible to wheelchairs unless there’s another entrance I didn’t see. Affordable healthy option for sure!

It's like that super cozy unassuming dive bar you loved in college, but with delicious soups and sandwiches instead of PBR. Unpretentious but well-made and delicious food in a laid back space. Lots of options for dietary restrictions, and they serve half-wraps and soup/sandwich combos for those who have trouble choosing just one thing. The "classic combo", which I'm pretty sure used to be the "student combo" gets you a grilled cheese and small soup for like $8 - a steal these days. It's often super busy at lunch time but they're efficient and the line moves quickly.
